As we prepare our children for modern Britain, we have a duty of care to provide and expose our children to an understanding of other cultures and languages. Therefore, at Broughton-in-Furness Primary School and Nursery we ensure our children are exposed to unique French teaching.

The skills, knowledge and understanding gained through learning other languages ensures our children are prepared for the modern world. Children partake in weekly tailored French lessons with a specialist teacher. They take part in poetry, rhymes, singing and respond to stories.

We are creative in our curriculum to ensure the children are giving opportunities to read, write, speak and listen in their learning of a foreign language.
