At Broughton, we aim for children to become artists with a love and understanding of the skills of art and design, which help to stimulate their creativity, inventiveness and imagination. It is important for our children to be exposed to a variety of different artists and understand their influences and techniques, reflected in their own artistic journey increasing in degrees of challenge and complexity. At Broughton, we want our children to understand and utilize the different skills they are being taught in their own creative ways as a means of their own personal expression, building upon a knowledge based approach.
